Whitehall's Food Truck and Fun Fest Returns with a Bang

Whitehall is set to host its 11th annual Food Truck and Fun Fest this Saturday, promising a day filled with delectable eats, live music, and community engagement. The free event will feature 36 food trucks, 34 local vendors, and a new Workforce and Wellness Pavilion.

A Day of Food, Fun, and Community

Attendees can indulge in a diverse culinary experience with a wide range of food truck options, from classic comfort food to international flavors. While enjoying their favorite dishes, festival-goers can explore the offerings of local vendors, find unique treasures, and support local businesses.

This year's festival introduces a new focus on community well-being with the Workforce and Wellness Pavilion. Visitors can connect with potential employers, receive health screenings, and learn about educational opportunities. The initiative aligns with Mayor Michael Bivens' commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Star-Studded Entertainment

The event will feature a lineup of talented performers, including DJ Mix Master ICE, Discarded Mischief, Mojo Flo, and headliner Karyn White, known for her iconic '80s and '90s hits.

Behind the Scenes

Organizing such a large-scale event requires months of preparation, according to Whitehall Director of Public Service Casey Thomas. The festival has grown significantly since its inception in 2013, now attracting an average of 25,000 attendees.

Local food truck owner Andy Schmidt expressed his enthusiasm for the festival, highlighting its importance in the food truck industry. Schmidt's Sausage Truck is a returning favorite, and this year, a Whitehall native, Hanja Morales, has been selected as a community food truck judge.
