La Mia Famiglia, a new Italian food truck, has rolled into San Pablo at 1440 23rd St. Open daily from noon to 9 p.m., it's run by Marcos Torres, who, with years of experience in the food industry, recently started the family business. Despite his Mexican heritage, Torres has a passion for Italian cuisine, cultivated through years of working in Bay Area kitchens and honing his skills at establishments like La Strada in San Pablo and with Martin Gonzalez in Napa.
The menu boasts early stars like Fettuccine Alfredo, Pesto Pasta with Prawns or Chicken, Tuscan Pizzas, Spaghetti & Meatballs, Burgers, Crepes with Fruit, and Tiramisu. A quick taste test of the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken revealed a generous serving and elevated flavors beyond typical food truck fare.
The tucked-away food truck offers tented seating for onsite dining, and signs on 23rd St. & Pine Ave. guide patrons to the location.
